GENERAL
Respect - This is the number one rule. If you are unable to respect the people here, you're out.
No Spamming - Pointless posts with no bearing on the thread count as this. Putting topics in the completely wrong place counts as this as well--including advertising in the cbox.
No Stealing - Thieves are banned from this site. Stealing includes: taking character biographies that are not your own, using copyrighted images without permission, copy-pasting posts, lifting codes from the page source, and stealing any written content. We will also ban thieves who are members of this site, but have stolen from elsewhere. Remember that if you ask, we will most certainly help you find what you are looking for; there is no reason to steal.
Practice Correct Spelling and Grammar - Proper spelling and grammar ensures that you will be as properly understood as possible. You are expected to follow this rule even in out-of-character posts. However, in the chatbox, you are allowed to use some chatspeak.
Inactive Accounts Will Be Deleted - If you have been active in the past, inactive is defined as no posts for a month. If you have no posts yet, your account will probably be deleted in a week. However, registering with the same username as the deleted account means that the new account inherits the posts of the old ones, just for your information.
No Oversized Images - The max size for an avatar is 160px x 220px. Signatures can be up to 500px x 300px. Any larger will be removed and you will be PMed a warning.
CHARACTER
One Account Per Character - You can have as many characters as you like. However, it is up to you to keep track of them and to keep them active.
Use the Provided Form - Use the form provided so that the forms are uniform and easy to read. Post the completed form in the Character Board.
Make Sure to Name Your Characters Correctly - This site has a few peculiarities about how to name your wolves; this is outlined in our Handbook.
Follow Species Guidelines - The different species have a few rules to what colors are allowed and how their overall build is. The *provide link* Wolf's Species Guide provides easy-to-follow guidelines to follow.
No Mary-Sues - The world here is grittier, tougher, and more devastating than the average wolf roleplaying game. For a wolf to be physically and mentally flawless is just impossible.
Ask Permission - If you want to do something that is not allowed, please ask permission. If you have shown that you are willing to make your wolf work with the site's plot and have come up with a great potential plot for others to partake in, then we will be eager to allow you your special character.
ROLEPLAYING
No Powerplaying or Godmoding - Do not make your character all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-seeing. Also, do not take control of another person's character. Also, play to another person's character's strengths. If someone's character is good at lying, allow your character to be deceived. By doing this, you will find others doing the same for your characters.
Literate Roleplaying Only - There's no word count, but we expect a certain level of literacy in the writing here. Remember that a long-winded fluffy post is a bore when a short post is needed and that a tiny post disappoints where a meaty post is required. Also, remember that wolfspeak is not literate.
First, Second, and Third Person - Third person is preferred, but if you feel that you can write your character better in first person or even second person, go right ahead. WfMN is in love with great writing, no matter the point-of-view.
Note on Styled Posts - You can make posting tables, add images, and do whatever you want really. However, a one-inch strip of a post is not fun to read. Blinding colors suck. Forum stretching makes everything look silly. Just use common sense.
